Peroba rosa

Peroba rosa - lat. Aspidosperma polyneuron
It is a tropical wood originating from South America, especially from South Brazil and Argentina. The tree is medium high up to 40m. The wood is known for its high strength, durability and beautiful pink-brown coloring with subtle golden shades. It is mainly used for the production of furniture, floors, tiles and decorative elements. Thanks to its durability, it is also suitable for outdoor use.
Hardness according to JANKA is 1740 lbf. When turned, it forms wedges that look like grated carrots. After painting with linseed oil, it gets a beautiful dark orange color.
