Bocote

Bocote – lat. Cordia gerascanthus

Beautiful wood with large brown "mirrors" (wood rays coming out of the center perpendicular to the tree rings - visible in cross-section). It contains oil that increases its resistance. It belongs to medium hard wood, according to JANKA hardness scale it has 2000 lbf. The wood stands out for its pattern, especially the longitudinal striping, and after finishing and polishing it is unmistakable.
